SOUTH WIND ADVENTURE

Aeolus was looking after us as we made our way to Catalina last week; i.e., a consistent 10-14 knot breeze from the South. It made for a great sail but a very choppy sea so the Bear, Admiral and I were very happy to enjoy Avalon for an overnight stay. The next day it was on to Big Geiger, one of the capt's most favorite places on the planet. Clear water, sunny skies, great food, lots of laughs, stories and lies, a guitar and an uke, what else do you need? Our last night was spent at one of the Admiral's favorites, Buttonshell, home of the toad lobsters. Remember those bugs Jackpot?

It was good to see the Bear relax, strum a six string and warm up a bit after experiencing  the worst Tennessee winter in 20 years. The Bear can rock it, next stop Nashville!
