A BREAK IN THE HEAT

With temperatures in the mid-70's in San Clemente, the Admiral and I took the boat out, and lo and behold, on the water the temp was in the mid to low 60's. Two jackets quickly emerged from down below and all was good. Let's go sailing!

JAIME HACIENDA IS IN TOWN

Jaime, the local surfing legend, is on a break from this years Masters World Tour. Since the surf was flat he elected to spend a day on the water sailing. A nice but chilly 12-15 knot breeze pushed us along for another great day on the water.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO THE 2013 CREW OF "SERENITY NOW"

WHALE WATCHING 2014

For our first whale watching trip of the year, we never left the slip. A game of cards (war) won out so we played, shared card tricks and had fun on the boat.

THE 10TH ISLAND TRIP OF 2013

The Admiral and I cruised to Avalon right after Christmas to celebrate the new year. Weather was warm during the day and chilly at night. Water was COLD.
We bumped into the pastor from our San Clemente church, Fr. Patrick, second from the right.

The Christmas lights of Avalon.

We made a visit to the sea lion rookery on the east end of the island.
