ONE WHALE OF A TIME

Some old salts gathered today to enjoy an afternoon of light wind, relaxation and plenty of sunshine. At the end of our sail, close to the harbor entrance, we were treated to see several whales leisurely showing off for the small group of boats that quickly gathered.

SAN FRANCISCO BAY

On our recent road trip to the bay area we visited Angel Island, a true gem so close to the hustle and bustle of the big city. We landed at Ayala Cove which provides public moorings and docking. Gorgeous place.

ANOTHER ABORTED TRIP

Our timing has not been the best lately. JR, Sailor Sam and the capt left super early Friday for a quick weekend trip to the island only to do an "about face" one hour out. Mother Nature didn't want us to make the crossing and we acquiesced to the seas and gale warning. No long faces after dropping the hook at Danalina for lunch and some stand up paddling.
