AVALON HARBOR HAS BEEN DECLARED AN UNSAFE HARBOR

"Avalon Harbor Master, Avalon Harbor Master, this is Rubber Ducky on mooring 101. Can you assist us ASAP?"

CAMBRIA

The central coast of California, this time of year, is beautiful beyond description. No more said, "Goodnight Alice".

Reminds me of the film "Karate Kid"

FINBACKS & GRAYS

The Gray Whales' migration from Alaska to Mexico begins in December, as they travel south past Dana Point, and ends in March as they complete their 5000 mile journey. Saturday we followed two Grays traveling north. They were all business, showing for about 30 seconds before taking a deep breath and sounding for 4-5 minutes. As we marveled over these Grays, a much larger spout was sighted and we were able to watch several Finback Whales from a distance. It sure is good to see the number of majestic mammals right in our own backyard.

Thank you for the beautiful Koi.

BEATING THE HEAT ON VAL-DAY

Warm weather was upon us today and what did the Nesporados do? THEY WENT SAILING! Ten to 12 knot winds pushed us along today in a very tranquil sea. We didn't even put the main up as we glided along under genny only. Lazy day for a lazy sail. And we saw a whale spout and its' fluke to boot.
