BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, SUMMER WILL BE HERE

Nice long weekend at 4th of July Cove and then on to Moonstone for a shorter trip back. Water is still chilly but the weather was great for hiking. Ran into, not quite but we got real close, a finback whale on the way over and several large mola molas.

4th of July was almost empty.

POST-EASTER SAIL

Just three hours up our coast is the beautiful Newport Harbor. We made a quick trip to Newport to meet our good friends, the Emersons' of Anaheim Hills, had dinner with them on board, and returned to Dana Point Saturday afternoon. Good laughs, good food, good company, good sailing = good time. Spotted two whales on the return trip.
The harbor was alive with youth sailing races.

Entertaining side show.
