NEWPORT BOUND

Navy Joe and sistah Sandy joined us on an overnighter to Newport Harbor. It was the calmest night ever on the hook. With a WSW wind we were able to sail the whole way.
We stretched our legs after the sail.

The anchorage was within eyeshot of a very familiar church.

We were treated to this beautiful sunset.

JUNE 11, 2012

Jackie would have been 92 years young today. We honored this wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother by celebrating her birthday on the water casting red roses in her memory. "Here's to those that wish us well"

"I'VE BEEN EVERYWHERE MAN, I'VE BEEN EVERYWHERE"

How much junk can you store on one boat?

View of the west end on our way down from Silver Peak.
Ready to descend Hermit Gulch on another day.
Big Geiger, Avalon, Fourth of July, Howland's, Big Geiger again and finally Cherry Cove, wow...what'a ride! Last week we enjoyed many spots on the front side while taking some very strenuous hikes. We deployed a flopper-stopper for the first time and the results were muy bueno. Time to go sailing!!
