Surf, Sun and a Sail

After a morning of surfing at Doho, El Jeffe met the Capt on K-Dock for an afternoon of sailing. A consistent 12-16 kt westerly wind pushed us along all day. No whales but we covered a lot of ground.

The Storms Give Way To A Beautiful Saturday

Two days ago this pic was taken in the Dana Point Marina just west of the bridge.

This was the scene late this morning on K-Dock when we arrived.

Going out this afternoon the with the "Small Craft" flag flying.

The Admiral righting the lines after a relaxing and mello day sail. We encountered winds to 11 knots and a west swell of 4-6 ft. at 14 second intervals. Plus, we saw our first whale spout of the year. Thar she blows! Let's go sailing!

BREAKING STORM NEWS-CATALINA ISLAND

This is a rare scene from the entrance of Cat Harbor taken 1/20/2010. For those of you that have spent an evening or two there, you'll agree that this is the safest harbor at the island. It's like a lake most of the time. Everyday is different when you're on the ocean.

What A Way To Start The Year

Ranger Greg, Builder Terry, Broker Michael and the Captain left early for Catalina January 2nd and watched the sun rise over San Clemente. We spent one night on the hook at Little Harbor and one evening in Cat Harbor. It was an A+ trip.

Turn your speakers up and listen to Builder Terry on the guitar. He's good.
