TRIP #105

Sailor Jerry, El Jeffe and I had a bumpy, uncomfortable 6 hour crossing to the island and decided to take shelter in Avalon for the night. No sense in ignoring the small craft warning while on the hook. The next morning after a short walk ashore, we were off to Willow Cove. We were the only boat there and spent two nights and two very relaxing days enjoying ourselves. On the return to Dana there was a nice S/SW breeze that helped us make it back in 5 hours. Good times!

A Niespodziany yellowtail.
Fat little sheepshead we released.

KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES

It's been two years since T and T have been sailing on Serenity Now and in that time a lot has happened. Sailor Zeta joined the crew with another on the way in September. Hey guys, we have a limited number of PFD's!

HOLA

My sincere apologies go out to all of my faithful blog followers for not posting sooner, but the Admiral and I were having to much fun and little extra time on the south side of the Mexican soon-to-be built wall, B.C.S.

The fishing was just that, fishing not catching. We trolled everyday for hours to little or no avail. One small dorado was all that made the dinner table. The water temperature was great, you could snorkel all day and no chill. Afternoons were in the 80's and breezy. The weather was perfecto and so were the hosts Captain Cabo and Senora Debi. We didn't leave their ocean front hacienda the whole time, no need. Their home is just about a mile east of the Cabo Pulmo National Park, a place we sailed to after the Baja HaHa in 2012. Truly a Baja gem.

A catch and release bonita.

Chillin', not really.
