OUR DAY ON THE WATER

Our muy mejores amigos, Senora Debbie and Captain Cabo, joined us for a relaxing afternoon sail. The sea was calm and the wind was light, the perfect combination for an enjoyable time together before they head back to the East Cape, Baja Sur. Viajar con dios mis amigos.

NEWPORT HARBOR

Our mid-week getaway found us traveling up the Orange County coast to Newport for several nights. Plenty to see from the deck of a boat. Good time.

ANCHORING 101

On our most recent visit to Newport Harbor we anchored in the area just south of Lido Isle. This anchorage is expansive and we were the only ones there when we dropped the hook. It's relatively shallow, very muddy and roomy enough to swing on one hook. Other boats anchored throughout the day and by nightfall there were maybe six boats anchored for the night.

We woke up to our neighbor being extremely close. Shortened our rode and all was good.

HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR?

This stretch of beach lies between the pier and T-Street. Secret spot!
