We left the harbor today in light air and sunny skies. Within minutes we were greeted by three gray whales making their way north. What a pleasant surprise. We were sailing south so it was a brief, but exciting, encounter.
Serenity NOW is a 2000 Catalina 36 MK-II designed for coastal cruising. She's birthed in Dana Point, CA and since 2003 has made 115 passages to Catalina Island, overnight visits to the islands of Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Anacapa, Isla de Cedros off Baja and has explored the coast from Santa Barbara to the East Cape of Baja Sur, Mexico. She has weighed anchor in excess of 250 times. We've put thousands of miles under her keel. She's an ocean-going mobile home and we love her!
