Serenity Now is looking good and reporting for duty. The exterior was just professionally detailed and she looks like a million bucks. Let's go sailing!

What are all those wonderful buckets surrounding the boat? Wonderful looking buckets.
The sea lions are taking over the marina. The buckets deter them from getting on the dock when we're away from the slip. Last summer we came back after a Cat trip and they had knocked our boarding steps along with several of the yellow buckets (which are bolted onto the dock) into the water. The buckets are provided by the marina company and they're all over the marina.
Serenity NOW is a 2000 Catalina 36 MK-II designed for coastal cruising. She's berthed in Dana Point, CA and since 2003 has made over 130 passages to Catalina Island, with overnight visits to five of the eight California Channel Islands: Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Anacapa, San Clemente and Catalina. We've overnighted at Isla de Cedros off Baja and have explored the coast from Santa Barbara to the East Cape of Baja Sur, Mexico. She has weighed anchor in excess of 285 times. We've put thousands of miles under her keel. She's an ocean-going maritime mobile home and we love her!
