A cold and wet morning turned into a glorious day for a hike and exploring tide pools at Crystal Cove State Park in Newport Beach. Amina and her family joined us for a great day and we even spotted a whale from the beach. Although you can't tell from these photos, out of an abundance of caution, we did practice social distancing and elbow tap greetings.
Anahit, the Star of the day.
Yelena, Milk and Amina.
The capt and Admiral with an inviting Catalina Island on the horizon.
Serenity NOW is a 2000 Catalina 36 MK-II designed for coastal cruising. She's berthed in Dana Point, CA and since 2003 has made over 130 passages to Catalina Island, with overnight visits to five of the eight California Channel Islands: Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Anacapa, San Clemente and Catalina. We've overnighted at Isla de Cedros off Baja and have explored the coast from Santa Barbara to the East Cape of Baja Sur, Mexico. She has weighed anchor in excess of 285 times. We've put thousands of miles under her keel. She's an ocean-going maritime mobile home and we love her!
