NEWPORT BAY

Being in or on the water with a sea breeze is one way to beat the heatwave we've been experiencing lately. So we topped off the water tanks and ventured up to Newport to spend a few nights and enjoy a change in scenery. The harbor holds many memories of yesteryear; learning how to sail, maneuvering through the mooring fields, keeping our outrigger on a beach, and later living on the peninsula. All great memories.

"Pass the sunscreen" at Little Corona.

And they're off.

Love this anchorage, plenty of room and like a lake most of the time.
