THE SIERRA CALLS

Nothing can match the smell of sizzling bacon and a camp fire to start your day, especially when it's in one of our most favorite places in the world, Cedar Grove in King's Canyon. The south fork of the King's River runs along one side of the camp area so there's the continual soothing sound of rushing water 24/7. Mix in an occasional black bear sighting, a deer or two, an off-trail rattlesnake and a visit from two OC sailors, and presto, you have the making of a perfect week.

The Hilton

Mighty proud of this wood pile.

What a great weekend! That wood pile was incredible! It made some great fires to relax and tell tales of the trail. Cannot beat the breakfast and dinner menus - as well as the cocktail hour by the river! What a ride!
