The Boat
- Serenity NOW is a 2000 Catalina 36 MK-II designed for coastal cruising. She's berthed in Dana Point, CA and since 2003 has made over 130 passages to Catalina Island, with overnight visits to five of the eight California Channel Islands: Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Anacapa, San Clemente and Catalina. We've overnighted at Isla de Cedros off Baja and have explored the coast from Santa Barbara to the East Cape of Baja Sur, Mexico. She has weighed anchor in excess of 285 times. We've put thousands of miles under her keel. She's an ocean-going maritime mobile home and we love her!

Great pics. Heard you had some wonderful (and hard) hikes there. Someday, when the boys are a little older, I would love to join you on a trip over there. I've never been to Catalina.
We would love to have you all join us on a sailing trip to Catalina. You would love the ride, Catalina and yes some challenging hikes. Did Zach and Kevin like the barking sea lion video?? Love you all

It is great to see these beautiful pictures of Catalina that I have heard so much about. Looks like you two had a fabulous time and well deserved. Can only hope you get away again. And to think your mother went last year too! Amazing and so great to share the time with you thru the pictures. It is a beautiful paradise. Well next to the Bear Island. Only kidding each state has it's own beauty. Still dreaming of our wonderful trip up the mid coast and all we did. Love ya, Jean
