THE EAST CAPE BANDITOS ARE BACK IN TOWN

Seeking asylum from the confines of La Abundancia, Captain Cabo and Senora Debi made the treacherous journey back to the US sneaking their way across the border at 10,000 feet. The expatriates were quickly escorted back to the Cadiz holding facility. They were rewarded with a day sail for good behavior.

THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM

With several days of rain in the forecast, the Admiral and I did a late afternoon sail. It was sunny with the small craft warning flag flying but our winds stayed around 14-16 knots and it turned out well. 

    Headed back to the barn at the end of the day.

The old salt checked into his eight decade and is still sailing with the best-of-them. Bravo Zulu mate. Time to splice the mainbrace!

THE THREE STOOGES

Tony, a life-long power boat owner and K-Dock friend, had never been sailing and hinted several times he would like the experience. So this week we shoved off, along with Wayne another slip neighbor, to give Tony his maiden voyage aboard a sail boat. As he hoisted the main sail he quipped, "Don't they make electric winches?"

It was a beautiful sunny day but the wind was very, very light. Not exactly what you would want on a first time sail but we enjoyed the afternoon anyways. Many dolphins joined in to keep us company while they displayed their acrobatic talent. Chalk up another good day with good friends!

  

ONE MORE TIME

The red flag was flying but it was such a beautiful day we had to get out of the slip. So off we went. Thank God we reefed the main leaving the harbor as the wind was a consistent 15-30 knots. Exciting!
