PUT ANOTHER CANDLE ON MY BIRTHDAY CAKE
Seven nights at the island, secluded cove, warm days, cool nights, nice water, ukulele, fishing, snorkeling, laughing, stand up paddling, great meals, swimming, talking to some long-time island friends, swatting flying insects, watching some really funny stupid things people do...this is how the Admiral and I celebrated the 30th anniversary of my 39th birthday. It doesn't get any better.
The fire near Santa Barbara produced some beautiful sunrises.
Five nights were spent here in Big Geiger.
The summer solstice moon rising.
Wow, what'a ride!!

A POWERFUL DAY
What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with great people. Nothing better than watching a youngster having fun and discovering news things. The Professor, Ms Laura and Sailor Phin, joined the Admiral and I for a very enjoyable get together.

USCG VESSEL SAFETY CHECK
She passed! Yesterday we had the voluntary VSC, a very thorough Coast Guard Auxiliary inspection of the boat's safety equipment and operating systems. The process took almost two hours but it was well worth the time.
Getting into the nuts and bolts.
Checking all the PFD's.
The prize, mounted on the base of the mast.
